[ AHT00175 ] Application for mobile devices that allows seeing and working user tasks
Summary
Application (available for Android and iOS) allows seeing a list of free and acquired tasks of certain user. It also allows working a task and creating a new process.

It is applied to

Procedure

The application allows visualizing free and acquired tasks of certain user. It also allows selecting a task to work on it or to start a new process.

It can be executed from any mobile device with Android operative system (version higher than 2.2) or iOS (iPhone and iPad).

Once the application is installed in the device, the following must be set:

  • Apia URL: URL where Apia is located, for instance: http://MyServer:8080/Apia
  • Environment: Environment (in capital letters) of which you want to consult free and acquired tasks, for instance: DEFAULT.
  • User: User of which you want to consult free and acquired tasks.
  • Password: User password.

Once the application has been set, it may be possible testing the connection by clicking Test, or confirm to visualize free/acquired tasks, by clicking on Confirm.

Considerations to bear in mind:

  • Application can be connected to any Apia system with a version similar or higher than 2.4.0.28.
  • It is possible setting if you want to allow connection of mobile devices to Apia. Configuration is done from Administration – Parameters – Others – Mobile devices. By default, connection to mobile devices is allowed.
  • Application needs Internet to retrieve free/acquired tasks and creation processes. Once retrieved, it is possible consulting tasks and processes offline; however, to work a task or start a process, it is necessary to be connected to the Internet.
  • To work on a task or start a process, a Web browser will open. It is advisable using FireFox
  • The application is available in: English, Portuguese, Spanish. Language used by the application is the one defined by the user in his device. If the language used by user is not any of the ones previously mentioned, application will be shown in English.

Requirements:

  • Mobile device must have Adobe Air application installed.
  • If mobile device uses Android, minimum version required is 2.2.
  • Apia’s version to which the application connects must be same or higher than 2.4.0.28.
  • Apia system to which the application connects must have “Allow connection to mobile devices” parameter set in Yes.


Best practice

Android installation:

  • From Android 'Play Store': search using 'ApiaTasksPanel' word.
    • Manually: 'ApiaTasks_1.0.0.apk' file, available in this AKI, must be used. Your device must be set to allow installation of applications that do not come from the 'Play Store', to do so, you must go to Settings - Applications and click on “Unknown source” checkbox.  

Installation in iOS:

  • Manually: 'ApiaTasksPanel_1.0.0.ipa' file, available in this AKI, must be used. It must be installed by using iTunes tool.

"Allow connection with mobile devices" parameter must be enabled from AdministrationParameters - Others – Mobile devices (enabled by default).
